Why posting on social isn't helping you grow your business
Understanding the difference between these two things is essential...
Is your social media presence driving traffic and revenue for your business?
Showing up in your audience’s feed isn’t enough (if you manage to show up at all).
With organic reach declining, you need a strategy that ensures visibility, captures attention, and spurs action.
Posting to social media as a local business is essentially like a slightly better version of updating your website. It’s TOTALLY 100% necessary to show that your business is alive and well. (No one wants to get off the couch and show up to a place that may or may not be closed…). And it can be helpful to reach your current customers and bring them back through the door.
But i’m willing to bet that its not helping you grow.
If you’re looking to grow your business, you need to reach new people and make them aware that you exist. And that, my friends, is a totally different animal than reaching current customers.

That’s where advertising comes in. It allows you to expose your business to new people and turn them into customers. (Who will then probably follow you, see your posts, and come back regularly :). See how that works? It’s a beautiful thing.
If this sounds like something you’ve been missing, fill out this form to see if you qualify to advertise with Step Out Buffalo. We’ll put you in front of our massive, targeted audience of Western New Yorkers looking for things to do and places to check out. THEN, we’ll get them excited enough to actually get off the couch and come through your door. (EVEN on a rainy spring day in Buffalo, NY.) That’s the power of advertising. 💪
